A lot of poker players have read somewhere that winning at poker depends on the level of skills and if you work hard, you will definitely win. 80% of the poker players think that they are top players at any event, but it is impossible. Is it really true that all people who have won have better skills than others? Of course not. Some of them just let others think that they are wild risk takers. And they win, because they take advantage of those, who afraid to risk their own chips. Randomness is always present at poker games. That’s why stop thinking that you are better than others and just embrace the risk, become feared at a poker table. It doesn’t mean that you should hope to get good luck, first of all, you should embrace the luck in the game. This works especially at online poker tournaments, because they are usually short-term events.
And try to give up such thoughts: “I never re-raise pre-flop unless I have a big pocket pair.” Another way to become a winner is to play aggressively and press the action with raises and re-raises. Of course, don’t be afraid, if you lose some hands, keep in mind that you lost only small pots. And big pot will be yours. Learn to come out swinging. Get involved in more pots than you have ever done before, and learn how to play your opponent’s hand from the flop on. You don’t need a hand to win a pot. Some analysts have reviewed all tournament poker strategies for almost twenty years and they have come to conclusion that the most successful poker strategy is the strategy of embracing the risk.
